Hey! I’m Dr. Chinmay Umarji, an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist and consultant in fetal medicine at Umarji Mother & Child Care Hospital. With over 14+ years of expertise in OBGYN and 10+ years in fetal medicine, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to women and their precious little ones.
My journey in the field of medicine has been shaped by a strong passion for maternal and fetal well-being. I hold an MBBS and DGO, along with prestigious certifications such as MRCOG and MRCP (Ireland), which reflect my commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements.
As a fellowship-trained specialist in maternal and fetal medicine, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities and unique challenges that arise during pregnancy. I have honed my skills in managing high-risk pregnancies, offering advanced diagnostic procedures, and providing specialized care for both the mother and the developing baby.
I take great pride in my role as a certified trainer for the management of ‘3rd and 4th Degree Perineal Tears,’ recognized by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). Additionally, I serve as the FOGSI West India Coordinator for the Imaging Sciences Committee, contributing to the advancement of women’s healthcare across the region.
My dedication to promoting excellence in healthcare extends beyond clinical practice. I have had the privilege of serving as an expert consultant for the Government of Maharashtra on ‘ANC CARE,’ ensuring optimal antenatal care for expecting mothers. I have also conducted workshops and training sessions on various topics, including general electronics USG training, CTG and fetal ultrasound, and advanced life support in obstetrics. By sharing my knowledge and expertise with fellow doctors, I strive to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care in our community.
In addition, I am deeply committed to public awareness and health promotion. I have had the opportunity to deliver health talks in corporate settings, reaching out to employees of esteemed organizations like SLK, Emcure, and Tremble Software. Through these initiatives, I aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and understanding they need to make informed decisions about their well-being.
