Greetings! I am Dr. Pramod B. Umarji, a highly experienced and dedicated physician with over 45 years of invaluable expertise. Throughout my extensive career, I have been committed to providing exceptional medical care and serving the community with passion and dedication.
After completing my MBBS and MD in Medicine, I began my private practice as a Physician in 1981. Since then, I have had the privilege of running my own Nursing Home in Pune since 1992, catering to the medical needs of patients with a personalized and compassionate approach.
In addition to my private practice, I have also been actively involved in academia. For the last 10 years, I have served as a Faculty member at Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College. Currently, I hold the esteemed position of Associate Professor of Medicine and Head of Unit at BJMC, Pune 1. It has been a rewarding experience to share my knowledge and expertise with the next generation of medical professionals.
I am proud to have contributed significantly to the medical community through my active involvement in the Indian Medical Association (IMA). I have held various positions in the IMA Pune Branch, including serving as the President in 2005-2006. I have been an uninterrupted Managing Committee member of IMA Pune since 1995, taking on roles such as Honorary Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and more. Presently, I serve as the Programme Committee Chairman and Pune District IMA Coordinator for the RNTC program under the GFATN project.
My involvement with the IMA Pune Branch has been marked by several innovative events, including cultural and literary meets, the establishment of a trekking club, and organizing medical camps. I have actively participated in IMA state executive committee meetings, state conferences, and national conferences, further enhancing my knowledge and keeping abreast of the latest developments in the medical field.
I have also been instrumental in the IMA Pune new building project, dedicating my efforts for many years. The foundation laying ceremony was carried out during my tenure, symbolizing the growth and progress of the medical community in Pune.
I am deeply committed to providing the highest standard of medical care, with a strong focus on personalized treatment and patient well-being. My years of experience have instilled in me a deep understanding of the complexities of various medical conditions and the importance of empathy and compassion in patient care.
